The US Open main draw does not officially start until next Sunday, but the Flushing Meadows site will be packed for the next few days as US Open Fan Week gets underway.

A heated debate around US Open ticket prices has exploded amid stories confirming the resale market are advertising seats at the final Grand Slam of the year for as much as $20,000 for one session.

Yet Fan Week is a joyous celebration of all that is great about the US Open, with spectators welcomed onto the Flushing Meadows site without needing to pay for entry.

Fans will get a chance to watch qualifying matches and the biggest names in world tennis practising ahead of the main event, but there are also some events that are ticketed and that inclubs the big comeback for the legendary Roger Federer on Tuesday night and the eagerly anticipated Mixed Doubles event.

Here is what you should look out for on US Open Fan Week:

Monday

The line-up for practice sessions on Monday has been released, with Maria Sakkari and Mirra Andreeva on Arthur Ashe Stadium court before we get a chance to look at Carlos Alcaraz as he practices with Daniel Merida.

Jasmine Paolini and Eva Lys are laso lined up to practice together, while the married duo of Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils are also set to share a court.

On Louis Armstrong Stadium Court, Venus Williams and Leylah Fernandez will be practising together as well as Alexander Zverev with Taylor Fritz and Lorenzo Musetti with Matteo Arnaldi.

Qualifying for the Mixed Doubles event also gets underway on Monday, as well as main draw singles qualifying.

Tuesday

The hugely anticipated Mixed Doubles event gets underway, with the dream team of Carlos Alcaraz and Serena Williams set to steal the headlines.

We can also look forward to Aryna Sabalenka and Novak Djokovic playing doubles together, as well as Jessica Pegula and Taylor Fritz, Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud and Alex Eala and Felix Auger-Aliassime.

This day will conclude with a special night on Arthur Ashe Stadium, as legendary champion Roger Federer returns.

He’ll play alongside 2003 US Open champion and longtime rival Andy Roddick, as well as fellow tennis legends and US Open champions Andre Agassi and John McEnroe.

Wednesday

The Mixed Doubles championship reaches a conclusion, with the winning pair earning a whopping $1m. The semi-finals and final will all be played on Arthur Ashe Stadium court.

Qualifying will reach a crescendo on Wednesday and fans will also get a chance to watch the big names practising.

Thursday

Joao Fonseca, Alexandra Eala, Learner Tien, Iva Jovic, Arthur Fils, Amanda Anisimova, Alex Michelsen and Marta Kostyuk are all scheduled to take to the main stadium court to entertain the fans.

A portion of the ticket proceeds from this event will support the USTA Foundation, the national charitable arm of the USTA, which provides tennis and educational programs to under-resourced communities.

Thursday will also see the draws made for the big tournaments at the US Open, will all eyes on where the big names will land.

Friday

Media day gets underway for the players, with a host of press conferences and media interviews mandatory for all the top names.

Fans will also have a unique opportunity to hear directly from the biggest stars on the WTA and ATP tours as they are interviewed in Arthur Ashe Stadium.

Saturday

Fine-tuning will conclude for the players as they prepare to start the final Grand Slam of 2026, with practice sessions for all the star names ahead of the event getting underway on Sunday.
