Jack Draper’s participation at the 2026 US Open looks far from certain after an updated mixed doubles entry list for the New York major was released.

Starting with the 2025 edition, the US Open mixed doubles event was revamped to include teams featuring star-studded singles players.

The main draw mixed doubles tournament at Flushing Meadows now features 16 teams, and it is held across two days during the US Open fan week.

Six teams gain direct entry from their combined singles ranking positions, while there are eight wildcard spots and two places for teams that qualify.

The six direct entry teams have been confirmed, while five of the eight wildcard pairings have been announced.

Draper partnered Jessica Pegula at the 2025 event, and the duo appeared as a team on previous entry lists for this year’s edition.

The pair could not enter directly due to Draper’s current ranking, and they are not among the five wildcard teams to be confirmed.

With three wildcard places still available, it is possible that Draper and Pegula could be announced later.

It is also unclear whether Draper will play in the singles at the New York Grand Slam as he will require a main draw wildcard due to his ranking at the time of the entry list cutoff

The British star also has the option of playing the singles qualifying event, although this clashes with the mixed doubles.

However, there are concerns that Draper may be unable to compete at the US Open in any capacity due to his ongoing issues with a bone bruising injury in his left arm.

The former world No 4 has played just 16 singles matches since his second round defeat to Marin Cilic at the 2025 Wimbledon Championships over 13 months ago.

Earlier this month, Draper made his latest comeback at the Canadian Open, where he lost to Terence Atmane in the opening round.

In the third set of that defeat, Draper’s serve speed dropped significantly, and he broke down in tears during a changeover when trailing 1-4.

The 24-year-old then looked to be struggling physically again in a 6-3, 7-5 loss to Martin Landaluce in the first round of the Cincinnati Open last week.
