Main draw action at the 2026 Cincinnati Open got underway on Thursday, and the number of players to withdraw from the event has climbed to 17.

The combined ATP/WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati, is staged at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.

This year’s Cincinnati Open marks the 125th edition of the men’s tournament and the 98th edition of the women’s event.

A further two ATP players — Corentin Moutet and Tallon Griekspoor — have since withdrawn before their opening round matches.

Moutet was due to face Hubert Hurkacz, but his place was taken by Sho Shimabukuro, while Griekspoor was replaced by Alexander Shevchenko before his scheduled match against Botic van de Zandschulp.

WTA Cincinnati Open withdrawal list

Six women — including Karolina Muchova, Victoria Mboko, Jasmine Paolini, and Emma Raducanu — withdrew before the draw.

Naomi Osaka withdrew the day before Cincinnati started due to fatigue.
